As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics & Customer Service Director to lead our supply chain operations and ensure smooth and effective logistics management.


Job Overview:

Responsible for leading the Regulatory, Customer Service, and Logistics functions for North America (USA & Canada), acting as a critical business partner to drive top and bottom-line growth. Key accountabilities include ensuring a flawless customer service experience, optimizing end-to-end logistics costs (spanning inbound freight from European production plants, local warehousing, and outbound distribution), and safeguarding the company’s legal compliance within a highly regulated alcohol market. Furthermore, this role plays a pivotal part in the S&OP process by collaborating closely with the America’s Demand Planner to optimize inventory levels, fostering a strong, seamless partnership with the commercial teams to execute business strategies. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Supply Chain & 3PL Management (Logistics) 
  • Permit, Formula, and Label Management (COLAs) 
  • Customs and Supply Chain Compliance Oversight 
  • Strategic Compliance Advisory and Risk Mitigation 
  • Order-to-Cash Cycle & Distributor Excellence (Customer Service) 
  • Budget Management & Cost Optimization (Financial/Operations) 
  • Team Leadership & Strategic Business Partnering (Leadership) 
  • Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes. 
  • Operational KPI tracking for global reporting, Inventory and Logistics expense tracking for accounting

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the relationship with the external business partners in customer service, warehousing and freight. This includes identifying, assessing, and onboard new suppliers/vendors, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods/services.
  • Mastery of TTB and FDA Regulations 
  • Expertise in the U.S. Three-Tier System and State Laws 
  • Customs and Importation Legislation (CBP) 
  • Compliance and Regulatory Management – responsible for ensuring company’s procedures adhere to industry regulations (permit updates, product label review and submissions, federal and state registrations).
  • Cooperate with the global logistics function to optimize the inbound freight into USA
  • Work jointly with the commercial function to optimize logistics flows, improving service and end-to-end logistics costs with the ultimate goal to grow our top and bottom line
  • Monitor and assess any potential risk affecting the area and proactively create the necessary contingency plans
  • Monitor and control the quality of the inventories in the warehouses, acting to avoid/limit obsolescences and damages and creating the necessary provisions when required
  • Monitor the overall performance on a regular basis, complete root-cause-analysis and corrective actions based on the PLAN-DO-CHECK-ACT methodology
  • Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution. 
  • Implement new or improved supply chain processes to improve efficiency or performance. 
  • Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas, such as sales, marketing, finance, production, or quality assurance. 
  • Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.   
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders. 
  • Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as product cost or quality.
  • Report on a suite of key performance indicators to assess performance and delivery requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, International Trade.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive leadership experience overseeing Logistics, Customer Service, and Regulatory operations. 
  • Regulatory Expertise: Deep, hands-on knowledge of the U.S. Three-Tier distribution system. 
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English is required. Spanish language skills are considered a strong plus.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards) and warehouse/inventory management software. 
  • Leadership & Soft Skills:  Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach. 
  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet) experience is a plus
  • SAP Experience a plus
