Cluster Director, Latin America - (Subsidiary CEO)

The Cluster Director is an entrepreneurial, results-driven leader accountable for maximizing the Zamora Company performance in the Latin America wine and spirits industry. This role drives strategy, oversees all operations and finances, and leads the sales, marketing, and distributor teams in close coordination with Global teams with a strong focus on driving Licor 43 across LATAM. As a member of the Executive Committee (COMEX), this leader co-creates the company's overall strategy, vision, and mission. Success requires a proven track record of excelling in commercial operations, driving sales growth, distribution, brand building and translating market opportunities into actionable business plans at granular level. 


Key Responsibilities


Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Develop and execute high-impact business strategies, plans and detail distribution plans aligned with short- and long-term global objectives within our Zamora Company agenda priorities for LATAM.
  • Ensure all business activities and operations deliver desired results and adhere to legal and ethical policies.
  • Driving impact and influence both internally and externally, specially with distributor organizations and key stakeholders.

Commercial Performance (Core Focus: Licor 43)

  • Deliver the Strategic Plan 26-28 targets for revenue, profitability, and market share for the LATAM business based on the portfolio priorities agreed.
  • Drive Licor 43 development by meeting execution KPIs (distribution, velocity, state expansion, visibility share, etc ) to gain market share.
  • Manage A&P investments for optimal ROI behind brand priorities.
  • Ensure financial sustainability for the Latin America Cluster by developing the team to meet overhead cost targets.

People Management

  • Lead and motivate the team to build a high-performing culture and elevate employee engagement.
  • Create a unified "ONE Team" culture, aligning the workforce behind the LATAM agenda.
  • Oversee team development and maximize sales force performance.
  • Develop and upgrade strong commercial and marketing capabilities, raising the bar, across the entire marketing and sales organization.
  • Develop and implement a long-term organizational blueprint for the LATAM sales organization to achieve our 10Y vision for the LATAM market, not only in terms of number of people, but also in capabilities, seniority, layers, area, etc. 

Financial Stewardship

  • Control the pricing, investments, T&E, capex,etc linked with the Zamora Company financial strategy, make high-quality investing decisions, and ensure financial success and sustainability.
  • Act and make decisions based on data, facts and figures, justifying all investments and ensuring a strong ROI.
  • Control the A&P, Overheads expenses and investments at detail level.
  • Analyze reports granularly and set up plans at granular level, to drive solutions for company growth.

Business Development

  • Maintain deep market and industry knowledge, closed relationship with the key stakeholders within the sector.
  • Build trust with key partners and stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact for distributors and key stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of efficiency and results focus.
  • Act as an entrepreneur with a start up mindset, always looking for business opportunities with special focus on Licor 43 development.

Requirements & Skills


Experience & Education

  • Minimum 15 years in Latin America commercial operations (General Manager for a small company or Commercial Director for a larger company). Strong commercial, execution and distribution management competences.
  • The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working with both wholly-owned in-market companies and third-party distributors.
  • In-depth understanding of the major distributor options in the key markets of Brazil and Mexico is essential. This knowledge will be critical in ensuring Zamora Company establishes the most effective future setup in each market.
  • Mandatory experience in the wine and spirits industry.
  • Proven CEO or extensive commercial senior managerial experience in related roles.
  • Established, high-level relationship with strategic distribution partners.
  • Deep and granular operational knowledge of LATAM sales and marketing.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or a relevant field is strongly preferred.

  • Advanced analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of corporate governance best practices.
  • Contribution to the COMEX and Zamora Company global agenda with real added value for the business. 
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
